GPEL Celebrates LGBTQ Native American Heritage!
November 1, 2015

November is Native American Heritage Month in the United States. We decided to take this opportunity to honor LGBTQ Native American figures. It's important to remember the pioneers and honor the leaders of today who uphold their Native American heritage despite decades of assault on their community, especially those who do so while adding to the LGBTQ community.

Some of these individuals we're examples of pride in their gender identity and/or sexual orientation well before the modern LGBTQ human rights movement came into being. Please join GPEL in learning about and/or remembering these LGBTQ pioneers from history and today.

Your support helps The Global Partnership for Emerging Leaders (GPEL) to provide LGBTQ human rights activists from around the world the opportunity to engage, empower each other and emerge as the next generation of leadership in the LGBTQ community. Invest in the next generation of global LGBTQ human rights leaders today!
